The Hardest Part of Any Journey Is the First Step

The main reason why most people do not succeed in business is because they never take that first step. The first step is always the hardest. It takes guts, determination, and confidence to make that move, and most people don’t have the right stuff.

The good news is, once you have taken that first step and built up your confidence, the second and third steps become so much easier. Yes, you might occasionally stumble or find yourself walking in the wrong direction — but at least you’ll be moving.

Have a Destination in Mind

When planning a journey, you’ll need a starting point, a route (which you can expect to deviate from) and an end goal. You’ll also need to know when to stop planning and start moving.

How many people find themselves stuck in the research phase of a project and never seem to make a start on anything?

They browse the web, buy the books, register for the courses and learn all the theory — but they never put it into practice.

They are like travelers who have overpacked for their journey but not yet confronted their fear of flying. Until this is remedied, they are going nowhere.
