I’ll let you into a little secret. There is no such thing as the International Month of Email Marketing. I’ve just made it up. However, just because the celebration is so obviously fake news, it doesn’t mean that all email marketers shouldn’t celebrate it.
January is the perfect month to celebrate everything about email marketing. It represents a time when we can finally take our collective feet off of the gas pedal and take stock of the madness of the busy Q4 sales season.
If you work in online retail, you probably haven’t had a moment to think since the festive rush began all the way back in October with Halloween. The holidays might be the most profitable time of the year for many online retailers — but they are also bloody hard work. They are also incredibly expensive, with all those acquisition marketing costs going through the roof as you compete for sales.
